The Museum of Southern Culture
The Museum of Southern Cultures is located in Historic Cotton Hall, at 166 E. Main Street in Colquitt, GA. The museum will take you on a stroll through time, where meeting at the beauty/ barber shop, the bank, the train depot, the dry goods store, the picture show, or the "blue" doctor's office became a social event and a time most coveted. Other areas and many antique exhibits bring to life many colorful and sometimes tragic stories and events in the lives of Rural Southerners. Storytelling Circles are available by appointment.
The Museum of Southern Cultures programs have been created to coincide with the Georgia Educational Quality Core Curriculum. For more information or appointments call 229.758.6686. Museum hours are Wednesday - Friday 9:00 - 5:00, and Saturday -Sunday 1:00 - 5:00
